EVN to invest a 220kV substation in Dung Quat site

On April 17, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Tran Phuoc Hien, met with Vietnam Electricity (EVN) led by EVN's Vice President, Nguyen Tai Anh about Dung Quat II 220kV substation project in Dung Quat Economic Zone, Quang Ngai province. 
According to a report of the National Power Transmission Corporation under EVN, the project includes items of transmission line systems, connection stations.
The investment period is about 1.5 years since the official construction.
The objective of the project is to free up capacity, serving projects located in Dung Quat Economic Zone, especially Hoa Phat Iron and Steel Production Complex Project.

At the meeting, EVN's Vice President, Nguyen Tai Anh, proposed that the province soon approve investment procedures for Dung Quat 2 220kV substation project, contributing to supporting EVN to perform well the task of supplying electricity to businesses and people in the area.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Tran Phuoc Hien, requested EVN's affiliated units to coordinate with Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company to specifically identify relevant contents.
Regarding construction planning, land use planning, land allocation and land lease, the province will consider guiding EVN's units to implement quickly and in accordance with law, he added.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested EVN to pay attention to green energy projects in the locality.
The province will create favorable conditions for EVN to implement projects with appropriate mechanisms and policies.
